Corel Painter X vs photoshop CS3

Journal Entry: Tue Sep 11, 2007, 4:07 PM
Corel does a much better blending job, though it lacks much of the editing features that photoshop possesses, nor am I fond of the brush tool. But it works well when creating effects, such as clouds/water, as shown in my latest return to digital work.

Just ridiculously funny. DO IT AND MAKE SURE YOU GO THROUGH AT LEAST 10+ PAGES.

So it happens that I'm playing with Poser myself. I'm no patient person who'll let a machine render its resources away, so doing big 3d scenes is a no-no. Matte-painting is the real way.

I'm impressed, and I'm only using the essentials version that came with my Wacom. Pretty good to start a sketchless speedpaint with it.

One thing though is that it runs sluggishly compared to Photoshop. Not cool. Either that or its because I'm running OSX on an Intel machine and the app was built for PPC, hence Rosetta's shortcomings..
